Choose the most appropriate components
Not all RFID labels are created equal – a knowledge of the features and benefits of different silicon products and label formats/characteristics is critical to ensure information can be stored and accessed reliably and consistently when labels are attached to different objects.
Label placement strategy is particularly critical for success – especially at UHF.
Similarly, not all RFID readers are the same – the selection of an appropriate reader for a specific application should be made with a comprehensive understanding of the features and benefits of individual reader products (taking into account such factors as multiplexer characteristics, read speed, communication facilities etc) and the operational requirements of each application.
